Getting Started¶
- Sign in. Accounts are created by invitation. Until someone gives you access to an organization or a device, the portal shows No organization yet and nothing else.
- Get a device into your organization. A new gateway enrolls into a holding zone, and a Digilan administrator assigns it to your organization.
- Create a local network. This sets the gateway's address on that network, the addresses it hands out, the way out to the internet, and the rules that go with it.
- Apply the change with Apply Changes, then click Confirm within 60 seconds.
Step 3 is usually one form
An entry from Integrations creates the network, its DHCP scope, its objects and its rules together, and keeps them linked so they can be removed together. Building the same thing by hand across Interfaces, DHCP and Security policy works too, but the portal will not know the pieces belong to each other.
Nothing stays unless you confirm
Every configuration change runs on a 60-second trial. If you do not confirm, the device restores what it had before. That is what makes it safe to change firewall rules on a device you can only reach over the network.
